Elora Ravenwing

Commission

2024

If you're ever trying to come up with a character from scratch, reach out to your friends who play D&D; they may have some ideas.

Meet Elora Ravenwing: Dark Elf, Bard, and all-around badass. Her style is what I would call "Mariachi Biker," and her shoes are more comfortable than they look—unless you're getting kicked by them. Home is wherever her trusty lute is. She's always on the road, especially after she satirized a noble.

Salome

Amethysia

2023

I am currently working on a science fiction game concept that draws inspiration from the aesthetic of the 1970s.

And, tardigrades.

Additional visual assets will be made available in due course.

Brock

Blockchain Brock

2019

In 2019, I developed Brock as an inspiration from the constant flood of cryptocurrency scams and spammy invites on my Instagram feed. Despite being initially simple in design, Brock gradually gained popularity. I intentionally dressed him in the colors of an eraser to show that he was temporary. As well as white runners to highlight his privilege. My goal was to create a character that was mediocre but able to succeed only because of his affluent background. Overall, Brock serves as a commentary on privilege and its role in personal success.

(Originally, he was called Brock Blockchain, but to avoid the Speed Racer effect, his name has been switched around.)

Main Characters

AdVenture Capitalist

2020

Initially, the characters were only depicted in a 3/4 view when they were created. However, I was assigned the responsibility of expanding the existing design to encompass all angles, so that the animators were able to draw them more comprehensively

Trypoman

2019

I designed Trypoman because I have trypophobia. I wanted to embrace the phobia to explore some horror concepts. I chose green as a colour as it reminded me of the Surinam Toad.

Pigrez

2019

A "pig-ified" self-portrait for the Year of the Pig (my year),

Brooke

Personal Taste

2019

For a suspense short film taking place in the near future. I was tasked with designing the protagonist, Brooke. She is a punk rock athletic delivery person with a sharp eye, no-nonsense attitude, dark hair, and purple tips. It was requested that she sport a faded jean jacket, an open zipped hoodie, shredded black pants that are cuffed, and canvas sneakers.

She also wears a rimmed bike helmet, wireless earbuds, and bike gloves without fingers. She ended up having longer hair, less mud on her shins, and sporting a larger thermal food delivery bag.

Dr. Daniels

Personal Taste

2019

The film's antagonist is Dr. Daniel, a brilliant but eccentric futurist who refuses to be limited by the current scientific community's narrow-mindedness. He exudes confidence and power, with a stubborn streak, which I incorporated into his winder stance. He went through a race change and a more exaggerated hairstyle. He also has a chemical scar. The cross on his lapel and waistcoat is to maintain the themes of his cult leader presence in the black market.

Geoff Why

Geoff Why and the Cronut Conundrum

2018

16-Bit mystery game concept about Vancouver's grumpiest detective, Geoff Why, and his search for the high-calorie dessert.

Wigs & Fishhead

2018

Children's story concept, named after my two late cats. Concept came from an Inktober prompt of “precious”.

Face Shape Guide

Clearly.ca

2013

As a designer for Clearly.ca, I created a glasses face shape guide, allowing customers to determine which frame shapes best suit their face type. The guide was made available on Clearly.ca's website, and customers could easily access it during the frame selection process.

The guide was so popular that it (unofficially) made its way onto other websites.10+ years later, it's still being used on Clearly.ca's website.
